Aprende a leer un mapa, interpretar su información y compararla con la realidad del entorno con el uso de la brújula, altímetro y el mapa. Estas técnicas sencillas y muy lúdicas se convierten en aspectos esenciales de seguridad. Nuestra sesión de orientación de dos intensas jornadas te permitirá familiarizarte con diferentes formas de utilizar brújula, altímetro y los mapas. Nuestro objetivo es hacerte ganar más autonomía en la montaña para que puedas abordar nuevos retos.

PRIMERA PARTE
Durante esta primera parte teórica del curso, aprenderás:
- Principios de cartografía.
- Coordenadas Geográficas y UTM.
- Escalas.
- Curvas de nivel.
- Distáncia y pediente (Cálculos).
- Cálculo de horarios en montaña.
- Orientación del mapa.
- Brújula y altímetro.
- Declinación magnética.
- Azimut y rumbo.
- Triangulación de la posición.
- Ubicarse a partir de situación lineal.
SEGUNDA PARTE
La segunda parte del curso se desarrolla enteramente en la montaña, aquí vas a aprender a:
- Obtener un rumbo.
- Posicionarte por triangulación.
- Contrarumbos.
- Error forzado.
- Identificar en el mapa los accidentes del terreno.
- Mountain footwear.
- Clothing appropiate for the season and current weather conditions.
- Mochila con comida y agua.
- Libreta, boli, lapiz de mina y goma de borrar.
- Brújula de base transparente y plana con escalímetro 1:25.000.
- Mapa/as requerido para la actividad.

Yes, at Montania, you are welcome! If you come alone, please note that we will likely add you to a group that is already formed. To find the best option for you, check our schedule and choose the activity that interests you the most. If you prefer a private experience with a personal guide, we also offer that option. Check the “Rates” section for more details.
It depends on several factors: age, the activity, and the people accompanying them. You know your children best, whereas we don’t know them yet. If you call us and give us some details about their age, whether they are afraid of heights, and any other relevant information, we can advise you accordingly.
Once the activity is over, we will send you a link with the photos. If you have also taken pictures, we will ask you to add them to the shared folder so that all participants can view them.
Of course, we won’t forbid it. However, if your camera or phone breaks or gets lost, Montania is not responsible for any personal belongings you bring with you. That said, you can always ask your guide for any photos you’d like, and they will do their best to ensure you take home the best memories!
